Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on 5 August for the second season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, when she was both moderator and host. Then it was when she began writing that her passion for writing was revealed. She also won one Emmy award for exceptional hosting of a talk show. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News The Early Show's early morning news program The Early Show for a 10 years. She was the anchor for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour newscast during the early hours of the morning. Chen Moonves also covered the conflict in Iraq and other significant reports, for The Early Show. The anchor was escorted to Cairo after 9/11 and conducted an exclusive and riveting conversation with the father of 9/11's main hijacker. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show that profiles celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves has also worked with the network's New York City station WCBS, as a reporter, anchor, as well as a producer (1997-1999). Before becoming a part of CBS News from 1995 Chen Moonves had been as a reporter at WDTN TV Dayton. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter for ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) as well as a desk assistant for the ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) as well as she was finishing her final year in college in the University of Southern California. Her first position in broadcasting was as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline along with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalism heroes. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the primetime special that won the Columbia du-Pont award and examined the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
